The Tales of Roses & Wine is divided into two parts. The first part consist of "The Tales of Roses & Wine I", "Moscato", "Roses", "Little Joy", also known as the Honeymoon Phase. While the second part, known as the Intimacy Phase, is consist of "The Tales of Roses & Wine II", "Wine", "Tender", and "Half the sky".
"The first part is an expression of how you feel when you're in love. The happiness, positivity, all the flowers and butterflies connection. The second part is a phase where you start to build intimacy, having doubt, and expectation to your companion," Kurosuke explained.
Overall the album is an ‘80s nostalgic pop lullaby colored in between European and Indonesian indie pop.
"The Tales of Roses & Wine was chosen as the album title because it felt like a representation of the whole story behind each song. A manifestation of inner struggle, " he concluded.
